Yes, this is still in for Fall '08; just be careful not to make your minis too "mini." And as for all the people saying "No, it's wrong" or "Girls can't wear ties" and all that: HATERS, lol. You can wear whatever you feel like, and that is a gold-plated, incontrovertible fact. More
Occasionally I have to look smart for sociel events and this means wearing a tie.
I can tie a tie but the front collar bit always looks a bit skinny.
And when I am successful in tie-ing a fat bow there is usually more of the back bit on show than the front bit (Hope you can understand)
Are there any techniques in tying a fat bow?
Thanks
( Or is it all on the style of the tie? )More

It is in the knot, you want a full Windsor knot. as you go through the steps, don't cinch the knot so tight. this should make it look bigger, and you'll be able to draw it tight at the end.
The make and style of tie is important also. Less expensive ties use thinner silk, which means a flatter knot. On higher end stuff, it's thicker, and the pattern is almost always woven, which gives even more weight to the material.
None of this will matter, though, if you're using a skinny-cut tie! More
