| You can really use any men's sweater pattern as long as you can get the gauge called for in the pattern with your yarn. You may have to try different needle sizes until you get this. Knit a swatch about 5'x5' and then measure how many stitches are in 4" and you should be able to figure out the gauge. If you go to a website for a mainstream yarn manufacturer you may have the best luck in finding a simple pattern to start out with.
For example...try www.lionbrand.com and search patterns or www.bernat.com
If you're feeling more adventurous...just try searching something like knit + pattern + mens + sweater and look for something similar in gauge in an easier pattern.

 | I'm looking for a sweater for myself (i'm male) but something that is also slightly feminine. I have a solid light pink sweater that I wear way too often and looking for something new. I'm not very masculine so I want something other than a typical guy sweater, but something that doesn't scream "hey that guy is wearing a chick's top"! :)
